There are actually surprisingly few designers who manufacture modest wedding gowns. The recent surge and demand for sleeves, however, seem to be bringing modesty more attention! Sleeves are a great way to increase coverage because there are many different types to choose from.
Since opening in August 2015, Malmrose Bridal has been working hard to bring in gowns that give the bride a variety of options and can be altered without the cost of doing a full custom build-up. What’s funny is that many brides who desire or require a modest wedding dress aren’t necessarily drawn to that type of gown designed to be modest. We usually find that brides tend to be drawn to a gown that’s not modest, then adding her own flare of modest touches like a corset back, a fabric panel, additional lace, or a certain sleeve the bride envisions. Thus, she creates a one-of-a-kind wedding dress that’s unlike what other brides are wearing! When the bride has a hand in creating the dress she will wear on her wedding day, she feels empowered and satisfied.
