What to Bring to Your Bridal Appointment

What to Bring to Your Bridal Appointment

Shopping for your wedding dress should be a seamless, pleasant experience. While we do a lot of work on our end to ensure your appointment goes perfectly, there’s also a few things to know before your appointment so that you come as prepared as possible. If you’re planning your appointment, here are our recommendations of what to bring:

Inspiration

When coming to your appointment, it’s good to bring pictures of dresses you like and could see yourself in on your wedding day. Take a look at Pinterest and a few wedding magazines, and bring your inspo to your appointment! Show the dresses you like to your stylist, so that they can pull dresses in the store you will like.

An Open Mind

While you should absolutely bring inspiration, be sure to come to your appointment with an open mind. You might arrive and realize you don’t love a silhouette in person as much as you do in photos—and that’s perfectly normal! Come open to trying styles you may not have initially been drawn to. Trying on a range of styles will also help you be more secure in your final decision!

Underwear

Be sure to wear white or nude underwear so that you’re not distracted by underwear while trying dresses on. You want to be comfortable and see your dress as close to what it will be on your wedding day, so it’s key to not be concerned about your underwear while trying on dresses.

Guests

We love when brides bring guests! We strongly recommend that you try to keep the group limited, however. Only bring those whose opinions you most trust, so that you’re not overwhelmed by too many voices that could drown out your own. It’s your wedding dress, so your opinion is the most important—guests are simply there to share the joy with you and help if you have a tough choice.
